Is this manual for me?
Am I a 'Member'? Anyone who has access to the PortalTalk web application will in principle also be a team member of one or several workspaces.
As a workspace member you collaborate and communicate with your colleagues who are part of the same team, but also with external users.
So, if you wish to know the basics of the PortalTalk web application, this manual is a good start.
What is a workspace? We often use this term in this manual, but also in the application itself.
A workspace is a digital space where people can work together. For example on creating documents. But the team members can also communicate with each other.
Basically, you have two types of workspace at your disposal;
A teams workspace in MS Teams
A website in SharePoint
It depends on the organization in which you work which workspace type is or will be used (both is also possible). The PortalTalk web application can handle both types of workspace.
Many actions in PortalTalk are the same for SharePoint sites and MS Teams teams.
Is this guide only for the PortalTalk web application? Basically, this is correct. You have found the application and now you want to know how to use it.
If you mainly work from SharePoint or from MS Teams, it is good to know that there are specific manuals for this:
This guide is intended for users working with the PortalTalk web application.
