Is this manual for me?

Am I a 'Member'? Everyone who has access to the PortalTalk application in MS Teams will in fact also be a 'Member' of one or more MS Teams workspaces.
You collaborate with both co-workers and external users. So if you want to know the basics of PortalTalk in MS Teams, this manual is a good start.

What is a workspace? We frequently use the term ‘workspace’ in this manual, but also within the application.
A workspace is a digital space within which people can collaborate. For example to create, store and view documents. But also to communicate with each other. Basically we have two types of workspaces at our disposal;

  • Een teams workspace within MS Teams

  • A 'site' within SharePoint

It depends on the organization within which you work which workspace type is or will be used (a combination of both is also possible). The PortalTalk application can manage both types of workspace. Also, many actions in PortalTalk are the same for SharePoint sites and MS Teams teams.

Is this manual for MS Teams only? Basically this is correct. You have found the PortalTalk app within MS Teams. And now you want to know how to use it.
Of course, this is about working in MS Teams teams workspaces. But working with SharePoint sites as workspaces is also possible from the MS Teams PortalTalk app.

If you mainly work from SharePoint or from the PortalTalk web application, it is good to know that there are specific manuals for this:

This manual is intended for users using the PortalTalk MS Teams app to work within MS Teams workspaces.
